Fleabane has been springing up all over the place in my back yard. Despite its name, it’s not any good at repelling fleas, but it is native to North America and attracts pollinators, which makes it good enough for my yard.
A beautiful wildflower with long stalks and tiny blossoms, it’s related to the daisy.
I’m told the leaves are edible, but are best cooked. They contain antioxidant properties.
